ACIPCO's Unique Corporate Structure

Unique in its concern for people, as well as for the machines they operate, ACIPCO has been a pioneer in the development of human relations within the industry since it was founded in 1905.

ACIPCO operates under the Eagan Trust that was set up by one of the founders, John J. Eagan. Before his death in 1924, Mr. Eagan created a trust including all the common stock of the Company to demonstrate the practicality of operating an industry harmoniously based upon religious principles. Today, employees enjoy many exceptional benefits and services as a result of the Eagan Trust. These include complete medical and dental services, an outstanding non-contributory pension plan, and a number of other fringe benefits. A profit-sharing bonus plan permits employees to share any profits that may be earned. ACIPCO has a reputation for regularity of work and good employee relations. One of the oldest employee suggestion systems in the country encourages employee participation toward improved methods.

Twelve wage employee representatives are elected to a Board of Operatives as advisors to management on matters affecting employee relations. Two of these employee representatives, along with a representative elected from the clerical employees and an employee-at-large representative, are elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Company. Employees are represented on committees to ensure fair and uniform administration of discipline, rates, apprentice training, seniority determination, medical service, and Charity Fund participation. This employee participation system is designed to encourage teamwork and personal efficiency.

The Board of Directors of ACIPCO consists of 14 members as follows: President and Chief Executive Officer; Vice President in Charge of Engineering; Vice President and Works Manager; Vice President, Finance and Treasurer; Vice President, Sales Manager and Secretary; Technical Director; Clerical Director - elected by employees; Employee-at-Large - elected by employees; two members from the Board of Operatives - elected by employees; and four directors from outside the Company who represent the buying public, as well as educational, social, and financial interests.
