RAJ ARORA was assigned to the Sacramento District Sales Office, effective August 4. A native of Chicago, he attended Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream, Illinois, and graduated from Purdue University in 1996 with a degree in Civil Engineering. While at Purdue, he was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering and the India Students Association. Arora began with AMERICAN in February 1997. His hobbies include reading, hiking, squash, and racquetball. |

BRET C. BUSBY was assigned to the Dallas District Sales Office, effective August 1. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, he attended Hewitt Trussville High School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1996. While at UAB, he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity, the Order of Omega fraternal honorary society, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Interfraternity Council, and the Student Government Association. He enjoys sports, music, and outdoor activities. |

MAURY D. GASTON, formerly manager of the Dallas District Sales Office, has been named manager of the Customer Service Department. He also has served as manager of the West Coast District Sales Office, and he was a sales engineer in the Orlando and New York District Sales Offices. He has been with AMERICAN since June 1982. A native of Sylacauga, Alabama, Gaston was an Eagle Scout and president of his senior class at Sylacauga High School. He attended Auburn University and received a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1982. While at Auburn, he was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and served as secretary of the Student Government Association Senate. He also received the E. Meade Wilson Award as the outstanding brother in Sigma Nu social fraternity. Gaston is a life member of the Auburn Alumni Association, a member of the American Water Works Association, and the ACIPCO Chapter of the National Management Association. While in Dallas, he was an active member of the Fellowship Bible Church, and at the time of his transfer was enrolled in a master's program at Dallas Theological Seminary. |

MARK GWYNN has been named manager of the Sacramento District Sales Office. Prior to his recent assignment, he served as an assistant manager in the Customer Service Department, Birmingham. Since joining American in June 1986, he has served as a sales engineer in the Chicago District Sales Office, as a national plant piping sales engineer in the former Estimating and Technical Sales Department, and as the assistant manager of Estimating and Technical Sales. Gwynn attended the University of Florida, earning both a bachelor's and master's degree in Civil Engineering. In 1986 he became a Professional Engineer in the state of Florida. He is a member of the American Water Works Association, the National Management Association's ACIPCO Chapter, and the University of Florida National Alumni Association. He is active in the Boy Scouts of America and youth soccer. Gwynn is married to the former Patricia Evans of St. Petersburg, Florida, and they have three children. |

JESSICA LIEBSON was assigned to the New York District Sales Office, effective August 1. She grew up in Westford, Massachusetts, and attended Westford Academy. She attended Vanderbilt University, where she was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering. In December 1996 she received a degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering. Jessica joined AMERICAN in February 1997, and she enjoys horseback riding and snow skiing. |

PHIL MARIN has been assigned to the Chicago District Sales Office, effective September 1. He most recently worked as a project engineer for a manufacturer in the Pittsburgh area. A native of Pittsburgh, he attended Bethel Park High School in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he earned a degree in 1990 in Mechanical Engineering. While at Pitt, he was a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He began with AMERICAN in March 1997. Marin's hobbies include coaching football and baseball, racquetball, and jogging. |

KEITH L. SOWELL has been named manager of the Dallas District Sales Office. He had been manager of the West Coast District Sales Office since January 1991. He previously had been a sales engineer in the Dallas District Sales Office. He joined AMERICAN in 1979. A Texas native, Sowell was born in Ganado and graduated from Corsicana High School in Corsicana. In 1979 he received a degree in Construction Engineering from Texas Tech University, where he was a member of the Society of Engineering Technologists, the Construction Specifications Institute, and the American Society of Petroleum Engineers. He is married to the former Loree Wright of Miami, Florida. |

K. SCOTT SUMMERS has been promoted to assistant manager of the Customer Service Department. He most recently was a customer service representative for the Pittsburgh and New York District Sales Offices. He also has served as a sales administrator in the AMERICAN Flow Control Division. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Summers graduated from Huffman High School in Birmingham. In 1991, he earned a degree in Business Management from Jacksonville State University, where he was affiliated with Pi Kappa Phi social fraternity. He joined AMERICAN in March 1992 and is a member of the ACIPCO Chapter of the National Management Association. He has two children. |

KEITH VANDEGRIFT has been assigned to the Atlanta District Sales Office's Satellite Office in Greensboro, North Carolina. He most recently was a sales representative in the Atlanta District Sales Office. Prior to that, he was a sales representative in the New York and Birmingham District Sales Offices. He has been with AMERICAN since August 1982. Vandegrift is a native of Birmingham, Alabama, and attended Vestavia Hills High School. He is a 1982 graduate of Aubu rn University, where he majored in Business Administration with a marketing major. At Auburn, he was a member of the Marketing Club and Sigma Pi social fraternity and now is a member of the American Water Works Association. Vandegrift is married to the former Chris Weathers of Sterling, Virginia, and they have two daughters. |
