AMERICAN's popular Fast-Grip® gasket is now available in a 30-inch size. A superior, field adaptable method of restraining AMERICAN's push-on ductile iron pipe and fittings, the 30-inch size is rated for 150 psi maximum working pressure. It provides effective, flexible joint restraint when used in any standard Fastite® or Flex-Ring® pipe or fitting bell and provides a 2 1/2° maximum allowable joint deflection in Fastite® and Flex-Ring® sockets. The Fast-Grip® gasket has been available in 4- through 24-inch sizes. It is widely utilized because of its high-strength, stainless steel wedging and gripping elements. The gasket's design essentially keeps the force between the spigot and the socket of the joint constant at any given pressure thrust, regardless of the "tightness" or "looseness" of the joint fit or joint deflection. The gasket's standard rubber is SBR, meeting all material requirements of ANSI/AWWA C111/A21.11. No other joint components are required for positive restraint, so assembly is quick and easy.
